Ethos, Training, + Work
My practice is currently based out of my home office + apothecary in South Minneapolis. I was a practitioner at the People’s Movement Center from 2017 until it closed in 2020.
My approach is informed by my values listed above, which are rooted in healing justice, emergent strategy, disability justice, abolition, anti-fascism, + anti-authoritarianism.
I started Sassafras Healing Arts in 2012 after many years of supporting myself with herbal medicine through a variety of health crises. When a sweet friend of my told me that they loved the winter solstice salve I made for them so much that they wanted to get more from me for some of their beloveds, I decided to begin offering herbal medicine to folks in my community.
